Amanda 

Amanda is a receptionist and veterinary assistant here at PVAH. She started in July 2022. She graduated from the Kishwaukee College Veterinary Assistant program in 2022.  Amanda grew up in Carol Stream where she attended South Elgin High School then Elgin Community College where she graduated with honors. Amanda’s veterinary interest is in surgical assisting. Amanda also volunteers at Tails and attends their Mutt Strutt every year. Amanda and her husband, Vince, enjoy building racecars, dirt track racing, attending Nascar races, and watching the Chicago Blackhawks. Amanda has a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix named Buddy.

Amy 

Amy is one of our receptionists. She started here in August of 2021. You can usually find her at our front desk telling a funny story or loving on all the pets in the waiting room. When Amy is not here, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tim, or her children Alexandria and Logan. Amy also enjoys reading and art. Amy grew up in Aurora, IL but has lived in 6 different states due to Tim’s service in the United States Air Force. She has 3 German Shepherds at home Castiel, Phoebe, and Lilly who keep her busy running in the back yard.

Chase 

Chase is one of our technician assistants. He started here in August of 2020 as a kennel worker and quickly moved up because of his hard work & love for animals. Chase has two career loves, animals and plants. If you don’t see him here, he is off working at a garden center. Chase has (according to him) the best cat in the world, named Fender. He was adopted from Tails after having surgery here for a fracture repair after being hit by a car. The poor guy had a rough start but he now has a great home.

Delaney 

Delaney is one of our kennel workers. She started here April of 2019. She lives and grew up in Sycamore, Illinois. Delaney and her family have 2 dogs, a Mastiff named Bella and a Boxer mix named Emmy. Delaney is currently a Sycamore High School student and hopes to become a nurse practitioner someday. In her free time she enjoys bowling and kayaking. Delaney is also a part of FFA and Life Missions. 

Kaitlynn, CVT

Kaitlynn has been working as a certified veterinary technician here since January of 2022. She attended Rockford Career College to obtain her Associate in Veterinary Technology degree. Kaitlynn grew up & still lives in Dixon, Illinois. Kaitlynn and her boyfriend Connor have a Newfoundland named Busch and a cat named Mikala. In her spare time, Kaitlynn enjoys anything Jeep related and she coaches a little league girls softball team.

Kaylee

Kaylee started here in June of 2021. She has been a kennel worker, receptionist, and technician assistant. She has a big heart and truly loves animals. She also volunteers at Oaken Acres Wildlife Center. Kaylee grew up in North Aurora, IL and went to West Aurora High School. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2022. Kaylee has a tabby cat named Willow who she loves to cuddle with. When she’s not working, Kaylee loves camping, hiking, going on adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

Maddy E

Maddy is our newest employee. She works reception and kennels for us. She started here April 2018. She loves all animals. Prior to working here Madison was an employee at the Summerfield Zoo. Maddy owns 2 old English Bulldogs named Paisley & Josie. She also has 5 cats named Uno, B, Caramel, Zuma, & Violet. In her free time she loves to ride horses. Maddy grew up in Morengo, IL and is currently here in DeKalb as an NIU student. She is a volunteer for Tiny n Tall Dog Rescue. Maddy also loves beach vacations and spending time with friends. 


Mari 

Marianna is a Northern Illinois University student studying biology. She moved here from Douglasville, Georgia to attend NIU. Mari has an 18 year old cat named Frank. Mari enjoys playing soccer and volunteering at soccer events in her spare time. She also enjoys art & music.

Maureen, CVT

Maureen has been in the veterinary field for 14 years. She started as a kennel worker, then went to Fox College to obtain her Certified Veterinary Technician license. She enjoys surgery the most. She worked in oncology and emergency prior to transitioning here. Maureen and her husband Joe have 2 children, Haley & Lucas. Maureen and Joe enjoy golfing & hiking together. Maureen also enjoys water polo & swimming. She has multiple dogs Juno, Mocha, Ruger, and Tucker. While her dogs are all different breeds, Maureen’s true love is bulldogs.

Nancy, CVT
Nancy has been in the veterinary field since 1988 and has worked in various private practices since 1990.  She has been at Prairie View since 1999. Nancy grew up in Leland, IL.  In her spare time Nancy enjoys travel, hiking, and reading. She attended Parkland College and received her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 1988.

Sara D.

Sara D 

Sara D is a receptionist and technician here at Prairie View! She has been visiting here since she was little but started working here in 2011. Sara grew up in Sycamore, IL and she has recently graduated with her BA in Biology from Augustana College in Illinois and is looking to pursue a career in ocean conservation. She has an 8 year old black lab at home named Ariel that is her whole world. In her free time Sara enjoys spoiling Ariel, scuba diving, dog training, and just about anything outdoors!



Sarah C

Sarah has worked at Prairie View since December 2007.  Sarah grew up in Chicago and moved to the DeKalb area in 1993, where she attended Sycamore High School.  She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2022 with a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Wellness. She has 2 cats named Bruce and Ralph and a golden retriever named Rosebud. Sarah enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, and hiking.


Sarah M

Sarah has been in the veterinary field since 1999 and has been with Prairie View Animal Hospital since October of 2002.  She grew up in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and attended James B. Conant High School.  She received her bachelors in liberal arts and sciences with a major in biological sciences and a minor in philosophy from Northern Illinois University in June of 2006. Sarah and her husband have a miniature Labrador Retriever named Irwin, a Dauchund mix named Pretzel, a very old blind poodle named Tilly, a tripod maltese puppy named Sprout, and an MPS-Vi pit bull named Forrest. Sarah is a member of the MPS army which helpw bring awareness to this genetic disease. She has had 3 dogs with this disease, Whiskey, River and currently Forrest. She also has several cats named Keatzel, Peg Leg, Bindi Sue, Blacky, Gracie, and Rayne.  In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling with her husband Brian, visiting national parks, hiking, and spending time with her friends & very large family. She is also a volunteer and foster home for Cause for Paws Rescue (causeforpaws.net).
